Accessibility Statement
Last updated: June 24, 2026
Hero's Homeroom is committed to making its classroom tools accessible to teachers, students, and families. We want the app to be usable by people with disabilities, including people who use keyboards, screen readers, zoom tools, reduced-motion settings, and other assistive technologies.
Our Accessibility Goal
Our goal is to follow the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 Level AA where possible. These guidelines help make digital content more accessible and usable for a wider range of people.
What We Have Worked On
Hero's Homeroom is reviewed with student access and classroom use in mind. Accessibility support includes:
- Keyboard access for student-facing pages and important classroom tools
- Visible focus styles for keyboard navigation
- Screen-reader labels and status messages for key controls and updates
- Reduced-motion support for motion-heavy experiences
- Clearer labels for buttons, forms, toggles, modals, shop items, inventory items, skills, and progression rewards
- Keyboard alternatives for drag-heavy tools such as Seating Chart, Student Grouper, Guild Manager, and Whiteboard
Known Limitations
Hero's Homeroom is an early access product. Some advanced teacher tools, especially tools with visual layouts, drag-and-drop interactions, embedded classroom displays, or custom game visuals, need additional accessibility testing and polish. We are continuing to improve these areas.
Feedback and Support
If you have trouble using any part of Hero's Homeroom, please email us at support@heroshomeroom.com. Include the page or tool you were using, what you were trying to do, and what did not work. We will review the issue and make reasonable efforts to fix accessibility barriers.
Ongoing Improvement
Accessibility is an ongoing effort. As Hero's Homeroom grows, we will continue reviewing student-facing flows, teacher tools, classroom displays, and public pages so the product remains practical and inclusive for real classrooms.
Accessibility Conformance Report
For schools or districts that need more detail, Hero's Homeroom provides a self-assessed Accessibility Conformance Report based on the VPAT WCAG edition.
