Welcome to Hero's Homeroom. By using this service, you agree to the following terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Who Can Use Hero's Homeroom

Hero's Homeroom is intended for use by teachers in classroom settings. By creating an account, you represent that you are at least 18 years of age and, if using it with students, that you have obtained any required school or district approvals.

2. Teacher Responsibilities

Teachers are responsible for:

  • Creating and managing student accounts appropriately
  • Keeping student login codes secure
  • Ensuring use of the platform complies with their school's policies
  • Deleting student data when it is no longer needed

3. Acceptable Use

You agree not to use Hero's Homeroom to:

  • Collect or store information about students beyond what is needed for classroom use
  • Attempt to access accounts or data that are not yours
  • Reverse engineer, copy, or redistribute any part of the service
  • Use the service for any unlawful purpose

4. Student Data

Student data entered into Hero's Homeroom (names, game progress, etc.) belongs to the teacher and their school. We do not claim ownership of student data and will not use it for any purpose other than operating the service. See our Privacy Policy for full details.

5. Service Availability

Hero's Homeroom is provided as-is during an early access period. We make no guarantees about uptime, data retention, or continuity of service. We will make reasonable efforts to maintain the service and notify users of significant changes.

6. Intellectual Property

The Hero's Homeroom name, logo, and original content are owned by Hero's Homeroom. You may not use our name or branding without permission.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

Hero's Homeroom is provided “as is” without warranty of any kind. We make no representations or warranties of any kind, express or implied, about the completeness, accuracy, reliability, or availability of the service.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Hero's Homeroom and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including loss of data or interruption of service, arising out of your use of the platform. Our total liability to you for any claim arising from these terms or your use of the service shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the 12 months preceding the claim (which for free accounts is $0).

9. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, misuse student data, or use the service in any way that could cause harm. We will make reasonable efforts to notify you before taking such action unless the violation is severe.

10. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Texas.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated terms.
